Lola Limmialif
Two days of fine-art nude photography in the studio near Stuttgart — with three setups in which dry ice plays the lead: on the mirrored surface, in neon light and in bed.

Lola Limmialif (Instagram: @ttontobelle) was the model at a fine-art nude workshop run by Patrick Rupp / PR-Arts on 27 and 28 June 2026, in the 300 m² studio near Stuttgart. The highlight was three setups built around dry ice: a mirrored surface with LED tubes, the same scene in blue, and a bed scene in fog. The mirror setup is available as a course video with the Lichtfibel PDF, and the livestreams work exactly this way.

The model
A model who works with the fog
Lola Limmialif works as a fine-art model across the range from sensual portrait to classical nude photography — and that range carried the workshop. The quiet high-key sets were about line and posture. The fog sets were about something else: timing.
Dry ice does not wait. The fog drifts, sinks, and seconds later it is somewhere else. In those moments Lola did not pose, she reacted — showing the participants how much a frame gains when model and photographer mean the same instant.
Mirrored surface, two tubes — and dry ice
The strongest set of the weekend stood on a mirrored surface: two LED tubes as the only light sources, and a layer of dry-ice fog creeping across the plate. Everything doubles, and the fog reshapes every frame — the same scene looks completely different two shutter releases later.
Later the same idea moved into the bed: fog over the sheet, soft light, the body half hidden. Three setups, one material, three very different visual languages.

Not only good pictures — but understanding why they work
Shoot with the fog
Fog is not an effect you switch on. It is a subject that keeps changing. Wait until the picture looks finished and you have already missed it.
The reflection is a second picture
On a mirrored surface you always take two frames at once. Which one is stronger is decided by camera height, not by the pose.
Dry ice needs safety
Gloves or tongs, a container that is not airtight, and a ventilated room. That is not a recommendation, it is the condition under which such a set happens at all.

Patrick Rupp
I am Patrick Rupp, photographer and owner of the PR-Arts studio in Oberstenfeld near Stuttgart. I have been working professionally in portrait, boudoir and nude photography since 2014.
